MUDFISH NO PLASTIC is an NGO that travels to remote villages in Bali and other islands in Indonesia to raise plastic pollution awareness in schools and villages. Through education we empower local children to take action and become role models in their community to fight single-use plastics, and stop plastic pollution for good.

We deliver workshops, using creative activities to educate local children and their communities about the dangers of single-use plastic and pollution. Alongside our workshop program, we provide practical solutions such as reusable water bottles, tote bags, water filter dispensers, and reusable menstruation pads. We also run training for educators to teach children about single-use plastic and pollution, and coordinate with recycling organizations to assist local communities with an effective low-cost waste management system.

We welcome and are grateful for all and any contributions towards our organisation to continue the work that we do. There are several ways you can donate to Mudfish No Plastic. For financial donations please visit our "Donation" page.
We accept non-financial donations for the materials we need such as coloured pencils, crayons, environmental/educational children books, scrap fabrics, water filters, reusable water bottles, and bags.
Receiving these materials are very helpful as they reduce the need for our organisation to purchase these supplies ourselves and use the money elsewhere, so please reach out to us by email at mudfishnoplasticindonesia@gmail.com if you can help out!

All the donations we receive go towards the running of our organisation's various activities to provide more environmental education and practical solutions to local children and their communities. We use the majority of our funds to purchase reusable bottles, bags, and reusable menstruation pads for the community, as well as cover the reoccurring costs of our educational and art materials. We also use our funds to empower local people who work with us by providing trash collectors and educators of MUDFISH NO PLASTIC dignified salaries.

MUDFISH NO PLASTIC's headquarters are located in Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia. As a result we mainly operate in Bali, however we have previously delivered our educational programs to other islands in Indonesia (Sumbawa, Lombok, Java) and would like to continue to do so when these opportunities arise!

We understand that living completely single-use plastic free is not realistic because it isn't always easy, accessible or affordable, we're not perfect either! We try to emphasise to the children we teach that what is most important is having the curiosity and eagerness to learn, so here are some tips if you want to know how to start reducing your use of plastic:
Say no to plastic straws, cutlery, and lids
Carry a reusable water bottle and bag
Buy fruits and vegetables loose free of excess packaging where possible
Avoid products which contain micro beads
Use bar soap instead of liquid hand/body wash packaged in plastic
Buy foods in bulk or in paper packaging when possible to cut down on plastic packaging
