CREATING A FUTURE FREE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC USING THE UNIVERSAL POWER OF THE ARTS
I AM RESPONSIBLE, I REDUCE, I ACT!
OUR SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
We run a range of social activities including village clean-ups, fish parade, dance performances, music performances and snorkeling trips.

FISH PARADE
VILLAGE CLEAN UP
We engage with children and local communities to raise awareness of the plastic pollution problem and the importance of reducing the use of single-use plastic by staging a community clean-up parade using a giant fish trash container and music, singing, and dancing. Our educational clean-up consists of max 2 hours of activity. The clean-up includes: instructional lessons, quizzes, singing, and dancing. Our objective is to enable children to the experience of doing the hard work and understand that without education and practical solutions, we will end up having to do never-ending clean-ups.

OCEAN ADVENTURES
MUDFISH NO PLASTIC is committed to stopping plastic pollution in Indonesia by using education to teach children of the importance of protecting the ocean, marine life, and our beautiful coral reefs. In addition to classroom workshops, we also provide a unique opportunity for Indonesian children to personally experience the beauty of the ocean and need to protect it by taking them on a snorkeling adventure. Most children in Bali never travel out of their own village and even fewer have an opportunity to swim and see the beautiful corals and ocean life in the ocean. The children are accompanied by volunteers who protect them, teach them how to snorkel, and open their eyes to the dazzling wonders of Indonesia’s oceans and inspire them to want to protect it from pollution. To date, we have done 6 trips taking students from the Gianyar and Karangasem areas to snorkel in Jemeluk Bay, Amed.

MUSIC PERFORMANCES
MUDFISH NO PLASTIC has several original songs composed, written, and performed by our band consisting of Ahmad Zely, Mamo, and Heri Purnomo, which we use during activities, social events, and performances to educate and interact with participants. These songs tell stories about how to be aware and care for nature, animals, the sea, rivers, and reducing plastic use.
The lyrics of these songs are easy to sing, and both children and adults enjoy singing along and dancing to the rhythm.

DANCE PERFORMANCES
We hold dance competitions to create dances for our songs. We also developed the Mudfish dance team, which consists of students from various schools and dance studios in Gianyar, Kubu, and other areas. They perform at our festivals and special events.
